Exclamation points and hugs

EEEEK! One day left before the departure ! YAY ! Couldn't be more excited ! It has been exclamation point after exclamation point for the whole week so far.
One thing I haven't even started considering is ... packing. I - hate - packing. There is only one thing I hate more than packing is unpacking. Maybe 'cause I'm so bad at it. I'm always waiting to the last minute to do it because it's just something I HAVE to do. Not something I'd love to. I'm just lacking the excitement(?) of organizing things. Anyways... Not only the whole packing operation is causing me stress, but now that I saw the list that I should bring to the States with me. NOTE: this is a list of the stuff my school thinks would be handy:
  •  TapeBlanket/Comforter
  • Cleaning Supplies
  • Cups/Plates/Utensils
  • Desk Lamp
  • Dish Soap
  • Fan
  • Full-Length Mirror
  • Hangers
  • Iron
  • Mattress Pad and Sheets (Extra-long twin, measuring 36x80 inches)
  • Microwave
  • Pillows
  • Plastic Crates
  • Poster Adhesive
  • Small Garbage Bags
  • Small Personal Safe
  • Small Refrigerator (Michigan Tech also rents them out)
  • Snacks
  • Storage Boxes/Tubs
  • Tools
  • TowelsAddress Book
  • Backpack
  • Calendar
  • Computer Disks/CD-Rs
  • Dictionary/Thesaurus
  • Graphing Calculator (TI-89 recommended)
  • Highlighters
  • Hole Punch
  • Paperclips
  • Pencil Sharpener
  • Pens/Pencils
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Stamps/Envelopes
  • Stapler/Staples
  • Tape
  • Test Scores (ACT, SAT, AP) Batteries
  • Camera
  • Flashlights
  • Health Insurance Card
  • Photo ID
  • Recreational Equipment
  • Sewing Kit
  • Snow Shovel
  • Social Security Card
  • Umbrella
... this is only the half of the list. And just for you to know I am allowed to take one bag. One single bag for 50 pounds (~23kilos). Sure. No biggie.

I also had my last day at work today. Maybe I should quit more often. Got tons of hugs and a present (a gift bag full of Finnish candy, cookies and a beautiful Helsinki-postcard) ! Last 10 months have gone by fast and I can not believe that it has been almost a year when I started working there. Hoping the time would not fly by so fast.

Love,
Riina
